RULES AND REGULATIONS

Sorry, we know it’s all boring stuff but it’s important to go through so we’re all on the same page.

general rules.

  • We will check your bike prior to racing. If it’s deemed unsafe we will prevent you from racing.

  • Please respect the venue. Do not litter and use (recycling) bins provided. Please respect our crew and staff members at the venue. If you fail to do so, you will be banned from future events.

  • We will check your bike prior to racing. If it’s deemed unsafe, or fail to make the technical requirements for your race category, we will prevent you from racing.

  • Please do not attend if you are unwell - notify us immediately if you cannot make an event as a competitor in the first instance.

  • You must wear a helmet. No helmet, no ride.

  • If you are deemed unsafe and riding dangerously you will be removed from the race.

  • The commissaire’s/judge’s decision will be final.

  • Both hands on handlebars at all times.

  • Points will be deducted for each race omitted during a round.

  • You must stick on the designated course at all times. Unless there has been an incident that has forced you off course, you must rejoin the course at the nearest point and never use this to your advantage to shortcut.

  • Do not make contact with anyone else.

FIXED GEAR RULES.

  • You must be competent riding a fixed gear bike. By this we mean you will be comfortable handling your bike on a technical course and modulating your speed.

  • You must ride with a lock ring.

  • You must wear cleats for racing and be confident doing so.

  • You must remove brakes for racing.

  • Max rim depth 80mm with at least 12 spokes. No disc wheels.

  • Only flat or drop handlebars. Handlebar width may not exceed

WHEELIE RULES.

  • You must raise and drop your wheel in the designated zones. These will be clearly marked out for you on the track.

  • Dropping your wheel will otherwise terminate your race.

  • Strictly no contact with other riders at all times, including any part of your bike

  • You must have a functioning rear brake.

ANY BIKE RULES.

  • You must have a freewheel. No fixed gear transmissions

  • At least one functional brake.

  • You may modify and change your bike however you like prior to race day.

  • Your bike and its equipment must not change between races at each round. Only wheel/tyre swaps are allowed.

  • No handlebars exceeding 780mm.
