Young people from Bournemouth are celebrating following the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) elections.
The UKYP elections were held over the past two weeks and almost 4000 votes were cast. The official election count has taken place and Bournemouth announced its new young politicians at a celebration event in Bournemouth Town Hall on Monday 28th January.
Helen McCann, from Oakmead College of Technology, and an active member of Bournemouth Youth Council is the new Member of Youth Parliament (MYP), and will be supported by Annabel Mitchell from Bournemouth School for Girls as her Deputy Member of Youth Parliament.
