It's great to hear that Rick Allen drummer with his band
Def Leppard, who hail from Sheffield have been gigging of late as for
those of you that did'nt know Rick very sadly had his arm ripped off
after a very serious road accident many years ago. When everyone heard
the awful news of his accident they thought that his drumming career was
over. Then a close friend of Rick's and also a drummer designed a piece
of equipment that would enable Rick to use his foot to hit a beat that
his left arm would hit whilst doing a drum fill on the snare drum or
around the tom tom's. To master using this method when playing the drums took Rick a long time but it was great to see that the band were right
behind him, and they waited till he was ready to take up the challenge
of playing and recording. The fans of Def Leppard have always been
faithful. Def Leppards gig's are always well attended and they have sold
Millions of albums all over the world.
