fender jazz bassAs a drummer of many years, i would like to share with you all the bass guitarists that i like to listen to. Bernard  Edwards also wrote and played alongside Nile Rogers on Guitar and Tony Thompson on dums.

Bernard Edwards   Chic

James Jamerson   Tamla Motown session bass player

Flea                      The Red Hot Chili Peppers

Paul Mc Cartney   The Beatles

Jaco Pastorious    Weather Report

Jon Paul Jones     Led Zeppelin

Alan Spenner      Session bass player, Roxy Music

Damon Mincheller  Paul Weller

Freddie Washington  Donald fagan

Chuck rainey             Steely Dan

Adam Clayton          U2

Noel Redding           The Jimmi Hendrix Experience

I am sure that you all have your favourite bass players, as we are
constanly listening to different musicians for inspiration.

Chester ThompsonIt's great to hear that Genesis are getting back together, sadly Peter Gabriel will not be re joining so Phil Collins will be singing.

It will be 15 years since the band worked together and they are getting back
together to tour Europe and the U.S.A.

I personally think this will do the band alot of good and i can see all of the British dates being sold out.

They will be playing Twickenham
Cricket Ground in July 07, the band will driven along by that super drummer Chester Thompson.

I believe there will be two drumkit's set up as Phil Collins will be joining Chester Thompson on the drums.

Kaiser ChiefsThe Kaiser Chiefs are currently holed up in a top recording studio
putting the final touches to their new album this will be released early in 2007.

Their album Employment sold a staggering 2,000,000 copies. The new album is going to be a lot harder than Employment.

A quote from drummer and cheif songwriter Nick Hodgson, we are not afraid of guitar solo's anymore Hodgson began writing the songs for this new album as early as 2005, the producer is Stephen Street.

green dayNews just in, Greenday are to be sued by a Oregon grocery store worker who says he wrote American Idiot in 1992. Paul McPike Claims that the band ripped off the song after hearing a tape of him playing it in high
school." It was just disbelief every time i heard it on the radio", said Mcpike.
The case has been thrown out of court, but he plans to refile.

rlightI think it goes without saying that 2006 has been the year for Razorlight, as they notched up their first number 1 with the excellent
America.

Most of the gig's that they have done have been complete sell out's and they were voted by The Q magazine as the number 1 song out of their top 100 ( America) i have been a fan of the band since they started and many congratulations to all of the band members especially their drummer who i had done an early review about a few months ago.
