Thousands of people go to the doctors on a regular basis suffering from backache, so we as drummers are more likely than others to develop this as we are regularly not supporting our back's as we are usually not sitting properly when playing in a band situation. There are a few different types of stools available at different prices, the one i have found to be the cheapest and comes with a back support is the DRT-102 Drum Throne, height adjustable spin shaft. Thick padded backrest, double braced this comes as a special offer of £35 and you can get further details and a picture of it by logging on to www.kingmidasdistribution.co.uk
You can also buy a complete set of Drum bags, ideal for a 5 piece drum set for Rock or Fusion sizes and this will cost you
£40.
You can also buy a double bass drum pedal that comes complete with a bag for £99, just click on www.kingmidasdistribution.co.uk
The same company are also giving away a snare drum stand with every snare drum purchased. (now thats a bargain).
There is a solution for all drummers who accidentally drop their drumsticks when they are playing. The stick holder of which holds up to five drumsticks and it can fit onto your floor tom, Hi Hat stand or a cymbal stand.
This drumstick holder is used by none other than Mark Richardson from Feeder, Dominic Howard from Muse and Ian Matthews from Kasabian.

It was nice to hear so many possitive reports about one of my favourite drummer's Dr Steve Gadd, as he was performing at The Bournemouth International Centre last night 6th November. I went down to the gig after attending a staff development presentation at The Royal bath Hotel. I just about caught four numbers but Steve was on top form. Anyone who has ever seen Steve in action will tell you that this guy is what drumming is all about, and it is no surprise that Eric Clapton, James Taylor and Paul Simon all insist on having him when they are touring or recording. Steve was playing with Four drumsticks, two in each hand for the final encore of the night for the track Late In The Evening, playing the way only he can and making it look so easy "well done steve" from everyone here at www.offthestreets.co.uk
Well done to Bournemouth Youth Services for such a great night at the Royal Bath Hotel

I hope you all find the following websites useful when you are looking to buy drum gear www.footesmusic.com
We are fastly approaching Christmas, so if you are looking at buying any of your friends anything to do with drums, drumsticks or cymbals just log onto any of the sites above. You will find that the more you shop around, there will be a big difference in the price for the same item.
I was asked by an ex student of mine's father, to look around for a DW drumkit. You would'nt believe how much the price is so different on nearly all of the sites. The best advice i can give to you young drummers is to shop around or get your parents to do it for you. I noticed that the price can be a difference of £100 plus, and that could be spent on something else
Best of luck Joe Musker
